The DGEPF reported that almost all expenditure items (food, transport, health, housing, goods and services) followed an upward trend in inflation over the period from March 2022 to March 2023. This rise defies the government's warning about abusive speculation. According to the Ministry of Economy and Recovery, “this evolution is linked to the context of disinflation in energy, sea freight and food products (according to the FAO index) combined with the maintenance of measures to combat the high cost of living at the national level. Thus, compared to the last quarter of 2022, quarter-on-quarter, the inflation rate was 0.5%, down 0.2 points
