Mohamed Abdallahi Ould Oudaa has been at the head of the Société Nationale Industrielle et Minière (SNIM) for several years. He was heard last Tuesday by the criminal court specialized in the fight against corruption in Mauritania over certain charges

The former minister and former managing director of SNIM was called in to provide clarification about the deal under which the SNIM board of directors in 2012 allocated 400 million ouguiyas to the company's charitable foundation for l&rsquo ; purchase of livestock feed on behalf of the Food Security Commission. In his remarks, the latter rejected all the charges against him. He indicated that several of them are not the responsibility of SNIM or that of the foundation, which plays a social role on behalf of society

Ould Oudaa was also questioned about the 15 billion ouguiya loan granted to Nejah in the contract for the construction of Nouakchott International Airport.
