Le projet The 7-year forest investment agreement (PIF) (2022—2029) is chaired by the Minister of Water and Forests, Mr. Laurent TCHAGBA. It is financed by the World Bank for a total amount of 148 million dollars, or more than 90 billion FCFA over the period 2022—2029. It is structured into five components. In fact, this involves support for the development of Participatory Management Plans for classified forests, support for the implementation of Participatory Management Plans for forests classified as category 3, support for the sustainable management of National Parks and Natural Reserves, support for the implementation of Participatory Management Plans for forests classified as category 4 of the savannah zone and project administration, coordination and safeguards

With this project, the government of Côte d'Ivoire intends to reduce deforestation and increase forest cover to a rate of 20% of the national territory by 2030.
