Through an interministerial decree declaring “permanent cessation of function due to disqualification” sixty-one (61) officials of the Beninese republican police were excluded from the police brigade.

The interministerial order is signed by ministers Alassane Seidou, of the Interior and Romuald Wadagni of Economy and Finance. In article 1 of the document, it is explained that the decision was taken pursuant ^to the provisions of article 165 of law number 2017-42 of 2 July 2018 on the status of personnel of the republican police and article 164 of law number 2020-16 of 3 July 2020 establishing the special status of personnel of the republican police. These police officers from the Brigadiers Corps have definitively ceased to function due to dismissal on the grounds of “unjustified absence from his unit for a period of 30 days” or “illegal absence from his unit for a cumulative period of more than 15 days over a period of one
