Suncor Energy, the largest integrated energy company in Canada released these r Results for the second quarter 2023

The Company has completed all major annual scheduled maintenance work at all refineries, resulting in a crude refinery processing rate of 394,400 barrels per day (b/d). It generated $2.7 billion in adjusted operating funds, including a pre-tax restructuring charge of $275 million related to the Company's workforce reduction plans, and adjusted operating income of $1.3 billion

Suncor Energy redistributed $1.4 billion to shareholders through share repurchases of $684 million and dividends of $679 million. The company achieved a total upstream production of 741,900 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d), thanks to the high rate of utilization of upgrading facilities outside of planned maintenance periods and to the excellent sustained performance of in situ assets.
