^{The third edition of the African Conference on Debt and Development (AfCodd III) started this Wednesday, August 30, 2023 in Dakar and will end on Friday, September 1, 2023.} It is organized by Trust Africa and the African Forum and Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD)

Based on the theme “the 4Rs for African policymakers: reimagine, reorganize and remobilize for an African world order”, the Dakar conference aims to “promote innovative ideas and strategies that redefine the role of the Africa in the global financial architecture to lead the continent towards a sustainable and equitable future”. According to the organizers, “AfCodd III builds on the success of previous editions, paving the way for an important dialogue that addresses the complexities of Africa's current debt landscape and the need for a new approach to economic development.”

Discussions focus on “how to establish a world order based on the principle of equality and the need to right historical wrongs.”
