The Beninese Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced the launch, last Wednesday, October 4 in Cotonou, of the 4th edition of the month “Consume Local” dedicated to the month of October. This initiative is dedicated to the promotion of local products.

The 4th edition of the month “Let's Eat Local” will focus on two major themes. These are “What strategies to stimulate the consumption of local goods and services in the UEMOA region” and the second, which explores the concept of local ready-to-eat through the essential aspects of daily life “Housing, food and clothing

This is an initiative led by the West African Monetary Union (UEMOA) ministers in charge of trade, who recognize that despite efforts to enhance national resources through transformation Local products, consumption habits within the Union are increasingly oriented towards the outside world.
