The women's economic empowerment program in the Ity mining site area in western Côte d'Ivoire will reach more than 300 women. This program, which is funded by the Endeavour Foundation to the tune of 76 million FCFA, aims specifically to structure and monetize the activities of about 10 women's associations mobilized in this area. The program is scheduled to last one year and will allow, among other things, to modernize their means of production and to benefit from literacy and entrepreneurship training. It will start in this month of October. Antonia Ngabala Sodonon, resident representative of UN Women in Côte d'Ivoire, believes that through this project for the economic empowerment of women in the Ity zone, UN Women intends to work to intensify their capacity to assume, increase their productivity and their competitiveness for a diversified and inclusive workforce
