Les producteurs de l' huile de palme pensent observer un mouvement de grève by Thursday, October 26, 2023 if no measures are taken to enforce the prices published by the State. This movement, which is being prepared, will consist in closing all access roads to the factories

.

The managing director of the council Hévéa Oil palm organized a working session with the fili& interprofessional association Egrave; re oil palm (AIPH) on October 10, 2023. This session was part of the aim of an attempt at conciliation between the various colleges of the association who were unable to find a consensus on the price of crude palm oil and the edge field palm regime for the month of October 2023

.

The two manufacturing colleges have proposed prices for crude palm oil 500,000 FCFA per ton and for the border-field palm regime 61 555 FCFA per ton that allow them to be competitive.

Mais les producteurs did not accept this proposal because they would suffer a shortfall of 16.47% of their income. For this reason, the Director General of the Rubber and Oil Palm Council again organized a meeting, but the discussions did not lead to an agreement between the colleges. Faced with this disagreement between the actors, the government of Côte d'Ivoire set, through a note, the prices of 555,751 FCFA per ton for palm oil and 67,800 FCFA per ton for the field edge palm regime. This proposal was accepted by producers despite the shortfall of 5,890 FCFA per ton. On the other hand, some manufacturers refuse to apply the prices set by the Ivorian State

.

Thus, during an extraordinary meeting held on Tuesday, October 17, the producers decided to observe a strike movement if no measures were taken Rsquo; is taken until Thursday, October 26, 2023, to enforce the prices published by the State represented by the Hévéa — Oil Palm Council. According to these producers, this strike will consist in closing all access roads to the factories
