The International Monetary Fund indicated in its report that changes are expected within the trio of the largest African economic powers — Nigeria, South Africa and Egypt — over the period up to 2028. According to the fund, these trois économies ont occupé le podium of the African countries richest in GDP terms. Egypt will become the top economic power on the continent with a GDP of 398 billion dollars, devançant le Nigeria and in 2023. The fund also indicates that Nigeria's GDP is expected to reach $390 billion in 2023, showing a slight decline
.Thus, according to IMF projections around 2028, the trio of the continent's largest economies is unlikely to change much, with Nigeria still leading, ahead of Egypt and South Africa. After five years, average economic growth in Nigeria is expected to increase by more than 40% to reach 682 billion dollars, those of Egypt and South Africa by around 25% and 13%, to approach 591 and 459 billion dollars in 2028
.Voici les dix plus major African economic powers predicted by the IMF. This is Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa, Algeria, Morocco, Angola, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, and Ivory Coast
