A recent International Monetary Fund (IMF) report on global economies sheds light on the Top 10 largest African economic powers.

The International Monetary Fund indicated in its report that changes are expected within the trio of the largest African economic powers — Nigeria, South Africa and Egypt — over the period up to 2028. After five years, average economic growth in Nigeria is expected to increase by more than 40% to reach 682 billion dollars, those of Egypt and South Africa by around 25% and 13%, to approach 591 and 459 billion dollars in 2028
