The 8th ministerial meeting on security in space UEMOA took place on Friday 27 October 2023 by videoconference. It took place under the presidency of the Minister of the Interior and Security of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, General Vagondo Diomandé

The 8th ministerial meeting on security in the UEMOA space was convened as part of the regular monitoring of the implementation of the Framework Agreement on Security and Intelligence Cooperation signed five years ago in Ouagadougou. During the activities, the ministers responsible for security issues of the member states of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) carried out an objective assessment of the implementation of the updated roadmap of the Framework Agreement adopted in Abidjan in 2021, as well as of the security situation in the community in general, in order to provide the necessary guidelines for implementation successful outcome of the Framework Agreement
