According to researcher Juan Pablo Aguirre Quezada, author of the study, “the National Institute of Statistics considers that nearly 15% of the Mexican population has already been the victim of fraud, that is, one in five users. And, in 92% of cases, the fraud is well consumed.” According to him, in addition to the population, “the central bank, the tax services and UN branches in Mexico have in particular admitted to having been “defrauded”. Large companies communicate little on the subject in order not to reveal their fragility, but they are also prey.”

According to a majority deputy, sixteen bills to combat fraud and better regulate bank bonds were introduced during this legislature. But none was put to the vote.
