The project company Asonha Energy has received the first installment of the non-sovereign financing of 81 billion FCFA in connection with the construction of the Kinguélé Aval hydroelectric dam (35MW).

La Société Financière Internationale ( SFI), the African Development Bank (BAD), the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) and Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund (EAIF) have awarded the premi& egrave; re financing instalment to the project company Asonha Energy. According to Philippe OSSOUCAH, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asonha Energy, This first payment from donors will allow the continuation of ongoing work, which has seen significant progress in recent months. The Kinguélé Aval hydroelectric dam construction site currently employs 400 employees, including 300 Gabonese. It is located 100km east of Libreville on the Mbei River, bordering the Crystal Mountains National Park. This power plant will have a capacity of 35 MW and will eventually be able to supply 205 GWh per year to the national grid
