The sixth meeting of the High-Level Committee on the Peace and Security Project, chaired by H.E. Mr. Macky SALL, President of the Republic of Senegal, will be held on November 24, 2023. Preparations are under way in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, which is the center of a meeting of major importance for peace and security in the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) area

In advance of this meeting, two other preparatory meetings are taking place: an expert meeting on 21 and 22 November 2023 at the Axil Hotel, and a ministerial meeting on the morning of 24 November at the Radisson Blu Hotel. This Committee, made up of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Security and Finance of the 8 Member States of UEMOA as well as the Heads of the Institutions of the Union, plays a crucial role in the consolidation of peace and security in the region. The Dakar meeting aims to further reinforce this positive dynamic, building on the progress made since its establishment in 2012 in Lomé.
