The 138th Board of Directors of BOAD authorized new commitments for a total amount of 117 billion FCFA. The Board of Directors of the West African Development Bank (BOAD) met by videoconference under the chairmanship of Serge EKUE, Chairman of the Board of Directors, President

of BOAD.

After approving the minutes of the 137th meeting, held on 20 September 2023, in Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire), the Board examined the note on the re-accreditation of the West African Development Bank, as an implementing entity of the Green Climate Fund, presenting the context, the re results obtained, the genesis of the re-accreditation process, and the operationalization of the re-accreditation, for the period 2024-2028

The directors approved seven (7) new operations for a total amount of 117 billion FCFA, bringing to 816.9 billion FCFA the total commitments of the Bank to date for 2023 and to 8,034.3 billion FCFA, the total commitments (all operations combined) of BOAD, since the start of its operational activities, in 1976.

The loans approved concern the partial financing of projects, as follows: the establishment of refinancing lines in favor of the International Bank for Industry and Commerce (BIIC), in Benin; the establishment of a subordinated loan in favor of the National Investment Bank (BNI), in Côte d'Ivoire; the establishment of lines Of refinancing in favor of MANSA Bank, in Côte d'Ivoire; the establishment of a loan for the partial financing of the project to set up and operate a mineral water and alcoholic beverage production unit by the Société Africaine de Boissons Alcoholic (SABA) Ivoire SA, in Bonoua (Côte d'Ivoire); the partial financing of the Emergency Program to Strengthen Resilience in the Savanes Region (PURS) in the Togolese Republic; the partial financing of the project to acquire shares in DUBAI PORT WORLD (DPW) DAKAR and to strengthen the intervention resources of Société Nouvelle pour le Transit (SNTT) SA, in the Republic of Senegal) and the partial financing of the Steel Plant Project by Société Côte d'Ivoire SIDERURGIE (CIS) SA, in Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire)
