, to take stock of the economic and monetary situation in the UEMOA zone.

Jean-Claude Kassi Brou said that economic growth remains solid and it is necessary to end the year with growth above 5% and the outlook for 2024 is even better. He said that inflation rates, which were a concern when he first visited last February, have “improved a lot.” The governor also referred to the ECOWAS sanctions, which impact not only the country concerned but also, and by extension, the entire West African

community.
