Mountaga Sy, director general of the Autonomous Port of Dakar, indicated last Friday in Saly (Mbour, West) that the infrastructure receives 316 ships from various countries every year.

The director general of the Autonomous Port of Dakar indicated that “the Autonomous Port of Dakar is the lifeblood of the economy. There are 316 ships that arrive at the Port every year, coming from all walks of life. At the Autonomous Port of Dakar, we have 800 teams working on the oil platforms that pass through the Port.” According to the latter, two million people transit through the Port “every year, including one million people go to Gorée and one million to Casamance”. For the latter, “the Autonomous Port of Dakar is a place for the exchange, transit and residence of events that are extremely important to be secured.”
