Ciné Droit Libre was founded in 2005 by the Semfilms association. It's a festival that has chosen its niche and has been digging its way into the continent's film landscape since 2005. The theme chosen for this year will offer a unique opportunity for participants to explore the complex links between endemic corruption and the scourge of terrorism that is hitting Burkina Faso hard. For Diallo, “the ^17th edition of Ciné Droit Libre positions itself as an actor committed to the fight against corruption, urging populations to say “No” to this threat that undermines the foundations of justice and democracy.” The coordinator of the event hoped that the ^17th edition would be the starting point for “profound reflection and meaningful action for a future where human rights are not only an ideal to pursue, but a reality to be lived.”
