Banking sources announced on Wednesday December 27 that the inflation rate at the end of 2023 was 23.15%, based on the extension of the December trend in December, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

A business note from the Central Bank of Congo (BCC) mentioned that “based on the extension of the December trend centered on a weekly average of 0.363%, inflation at the end of 2023 would be 23.15%”. The inflation rate was 23.068% and 23.467% respectively, at levels above the projected annual target of 20.8%.
