La 48th annual general meeting of the Federation of African National Insurance Companies (FANAF) is scheduled to take place from 18 to 22 February February 2024 at the Nouakchott Convention Center.

The central theme of the meetings is “insurance for the economic and social development of Africa”. The opportunity will be to return to the role of insurance in the economic and social dynamics of the continent, according to Abdallahi El Garachi, president of the Organizing Committee. For the latter, in Mauritania, the insurance department under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance is working for reforms to allow the insurance sector to fully play its role in the country's economic development
