Before two OFZ Treasury bond auctions by the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday, the Russian ruble moved closer to the 90 mark against the dollar. It weakens after the end of a favourable fiscal period

At 0728 GMT, the ruble was 0.2% weaker against the dollar at 89.89 and gained 0.2% to trade at 97.33 against the euro. It lost 0.3% against the yuan to 12.48. The ruble is still strongly supported by state currency sales, which represent the equivalent of 16.7 billion rubles ($185.8 million) per day. It could also get a boost if capital controls requiring exporters to convert earnings into foreign currency were extended beyond April 30
