Du 30 janvier au 02 février 2024, plusieurs acteurs du gouvernement togolais, du secteur financier, et bancaire national et international se réunissent à Lomé sur la question de financement des Micro, Small and Medium Businesses (MSMEs)

Le Togo est en partenariat avec la Banque mondiale pour réfléchir lors d' une table ronde sur the challenges of the financial sector in Togo and financial inclusion initiatives. The banking and financial sector in Togo is one of the most dynamic and competitive in West Africa, with the presence of more than a dozen banks and several other financial institutions, including major banking groups and regional financial institutions. This potential is huge to accelerate access to financing for businesses. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are experiencing enormous difficulties in accessing the credits necessary to finance their activities. The meeting offered an opportunity for financial market players to think about alternative channels of access to credit for these institutions. It also provided an opportunity to discuss topics relating to the challenges of the financial sector and financial inclusion initiatives, digital finance in Togo, mobile money and agricultural finance, risk-sharing mechanisms, green finance, as well as ongoing reforms and those that remain to be taken to strengthen their access to finance.
