Yaye Aminata Seck Mbow, Director General of Financial Stability and Economic Financing at BCEAO, explained yesterday, Thursday, the importance of the international conference on climate change. In her explanation, she indicates that “the African continent is among the low contributors to Greenhouse Gas Emissions (EGS) estimated at less than 5% compared to global emissions”. For her, African countries, including those in UEMOA, are the most exposed to the risks associated with climate change. Through this conference, it will be a question of giving the BCEAO the benefit of this feedback that will allow it to have this climate policy in order to be able to anticipate the measures to be taken in the event of extreme shocks linked to climate change
