The International Finance Corporation (IFC) announced the signing of two agreements in order to improve access to health services in Côte d'Ivoire.

IFC intends to support the Ivorian government in structuring and implementing public-private partnerships (PPPs) to develop affordable and quality laboratory and imaging services in 14 hospitals. The two partners will use PPP for services in regions of Abidjan and Abengourou, which together have a total population of 6.7 million inhabitants. These projects aim to increase access to cutting-edge diagnostic services, thereby promoting the early detection of diseases, increasing the effectiveness of treatments and improving patient outcomes, especially for women, children and the poor. They could later be extended to other regions of Côte d'Ivoire. The project is part of a World Bank program linked to the national health insurance program in Côte d'Ivoire.
