The dollar strengthened on Wednesday. Markets are waiting for a series of global inflation data to get clues as to when central banks might start relaxing their policies

The New Zealand dollar fell after its central bank cut its forecasts for a peak in rates. The Australian dollar also hit its lowest level in over a week after inflation data came in weaker than expected. The dollar index, which measures the currency against six others, including the euro, was up 0.3% to 104.20, having increased 2.8% since the start of the

year.

Kiwi fell more than 1% to its lowest level since Feb. 16 at $0.6100 in response.
