Sonatel celebrated a major breakthrough in the digital landscape on 6 March 2024 with the launch of the commercial pilot of 5G technology.

Orange 5G will offer instant download and streaming speeds, as well as increased responsiveness for real-time applications, such as online gaming, virtual reality, telemedicine, e-education, and many others,” the document reads. With Orange 5G, Sonatel is also continuing its commitment to innovate and push the limits of technology, to meet the growing needs of Senegalese for coverage, speed and abundance
