The capital increase announced by Guaranty Trust Holding should be approved by the group's shareholders at a general meeting scheduled for May 9. It aims to comply with the new minimum capital requirements imposed by the Central Bank. More than 20 Nigerian banks will need to raise additional capital over the next two years to reach the new threshold set by the Central Bank
