CAF 2024, which ends today, brings together more than 1000 participants, including many experts and representatives of public or private organizations. The discussions revolve around the theme “cyber risks and Artificial Intelligence (AI): what defense strategies in the face of new digital threats?” ”. This theme aims to strengthen the capacities of key players in the African digital sector, and to deepen discussions to enable the continent to face the challenges related to Artificial Intelligence. According to Franck Kié, Commissioner General of CAF, the opportunities offered by AI are important for Africa. The UN highlights that this technology has the potential to contribute up to $15.7 trillion économie globally by 2030.
CAF wishes to emphasize “concrete and joint actions”, while supporting initiatives aimed at meeting the challenges of the African digital sector.
