The 2023 Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) standard advocates the use of digital technology in the fight against corruption, data sharing, and the collection of revenue from the extractive sector. According to the permanent secretary of the national committee, Michel Florent Okoko, the training workshop on the new EITI 2023 standard and the use of EITI data in the Republic of Congo mobilized public administrations, extractive companies, and civil society organizations. It aims to popularize the challenges and issues of the new EITI standard among national actors.
