At a meeting of the steering committee of the Cocoa Côte d'Ivoire-Ghana Initiative (ICCIG) held on Wednesday in Accra, Ghana, the Ivorian Minister of Agriculture Kobénan Kouassi Adjoumani noted the significant importance of the partnership between Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana in the cocoa sector. According to the minister, this cooperation was crucial to address the challenges faced by cocoa farmers in both countries. The objective is to improve the living conditions of producers for a sustainable and prosperous cocoa economy. According to Adjoumani, “the governments of Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana have decided to bring together the main actors in the cocoa sector, in order to set up a common mechanism to protect producers' incomes against the volatility of world prices
