Dans le but de valoriser ses ressources minières et énergétiques and stimulate national and international investments in the sector, a Côte d'Ivoire will now organize an international exhibition every two years.

Ivory Coast is making major discoveries of oil and gas fields in its sedimentary basin. Indeed, the government decided to create an “International Exhibition of Extractive and Energy Resources (SIREXE)”. According to a communication made to the Council of Ministers last Wednesday, this fair “will be held every two years and for five consecutive days with the essential objectives of further stimulating national and international private investments in the sector and ensuring a better distribution of the wealth generated”.

The first edition is scheduled from November 27 to December 2 at the Abidjan Exhibition Center. This will include the presentation of major national and subregional priority projects in the mining, oil and energy sectors, the strengthening of subregional and international partnerships in order to mobilize funding, the discovery by the general public of the Ivorian extractive and energy sector, as well as the promotion of local content and jobs from the entire value chain to entrepreneurs and young people.
