During the spring session of the IMF (International Monetary Fund) and the World Bank in Washington, over 100 million US dollars were announced in favor of Guinea.

The IMF will provide $70 million in financing at the end of the Executive Board, scheduled for early May. This support is part of the emergency support related to the explosion of the hydrocarbon deposit that occurred on the night of December 18, 2023 in Kaloum. The World Bank, for its part, will provide another emergency financing valued at $50 million in early May, according to the Minister of Economy and Finance Mourana Soumah. This support aims to support the victims of Kaloum.
