The BCEAO has published its financial results for fiscal year 2023. According to its results, BCEAO's income from its external assets showed a solid three-digit increase. This indicates a form of relevance in the management of these resources.

Les financial results for the 2023 financial year of the BCEAO mentioned that its external assets brought it 177 billion CFA francs (287.3 million dollars) in revenue. This performance marks an increase of 112% compared to that of the year 2022. The increase was supported, among other things, by an improvement in income from assets in currencies other than those of the International Monetary Fund (30 billion CFA francs, +139%), interest received (34.7 billion CFA, +74%) and the placement of a significant portion of reserves (CFA 3,660.5 billion) in securities issued by States.
