The President of the Republic of Benin transmitted the status of financing agreements ratified in the first quarter of 2024 to the National Assembly on April 12 last year in accordance with the provisions of article 145 paragraph 2 of the Constitution.

Six financing agreements were ratified by the Beninese Head of State, from January 1 to March 31, 2024. This is in fact the amendment to the financing agreement signed in Cotonou on 24 January 2024 between Benin and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), as part of the project to support the development of market gardening. The Agtf loan agreement signed in Cotonou on January 19, 2024 between Benin and the African Development Bank (AfDB) as part of the financing of the project to develop skills for employment in priority sectors (phase 1) has also been ratified. The loan agreement signed in Lomé on November 9, 2023 between Benin and the West African Development Bank (Boad) as part of the financing of the project to develop agricultural infrastructure and open up the lower and middle Ouémé Valley on November 9, 2023. The loan agreement signed in Lomé on November 9, 2023 between Benin and BOAD to finance the project to build three retention basins, collectors and roads as part of the Cotonou storm sanitation program
