In an effort to promote sustainable food production this season, agricultural experts took to the streets of Abidjan on Saturday to train small-scale farmers in climate information services and best agronomic methods.

Ivorian farmers continue to face the negative impact of delayed rainfall on agricultural communities in Nigeria. For this, the main objective of the pre-season training workshop organized last Saturday is to empower small farmers and young people from the agricultural communities of Wumi and Tondo of the Kuje Regional Council the means to adapt to climate change through increased awareness of climate and meteorological information services and community actions. According to Azeez Salawu, founder of CAFS, “the training aims to strengthen the capacities of these farmers, in particular by making them aware of the various climate information services that help them succeed well during this 2024 rainy season
