The Euro strengthened today ahead of a policy decision by the European Central Bank (ECB) that traders consider a rate cut almost certain.

The euro gained 0.07% to $1.0876, as traders waited for the ECB meeting later in the day for guidance on the bank's rate outlook. Markets have incorporated nearly 50 basis points of Fed rate cuts this year, with the first expected in September.
