Due to supply and production problems in Ghana, cocoa prices have again reached $10,000 per ton.

Prices soared in April because factories in Ghana and Ivory Coast stopped production, citing the high cost of seeds. The price per ton on the Intercontinental Exchange then reached a record $11,722. After the sharp rise in April, supply concerns subsided towards the end of the month and the first week of May, with prices falling by 24% between April 27 and May 4, falling below $7,000 per ton, the fastest drop ever. Currently, cocoa prices are on the rise due to weather concerns, with the price per ton reaching $9,980 on Wednesday, up 7.8% on a daily basis
