The ratings agency GCR Ratings (GCR) has placed the long-term and short-term issuer ratings, respectively of AA+ (WU) and A1+ (WU) of the African Solidarity Fund (FSA) in 'Review Extension'.

The African Solidarity Fund's rating process remains ongoing and GCR plans to finalize and update the scoring results by 31 July 2024. The ratings granted during the last review remain in force and change until the review process is complete. A long-term rating reflects an issuer's ability to meet its financial obligations, including interest payments and debt repayments, over the next three to five years. Such a rating includes an assessment of the organization's current financial position and how it may change in the future with respect to meeting longer-term financial obligations.
