A national consultation workshop started yesterday, Wednesday, July 3 as part of the revision of the regional financial inclusion strategy in the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA). This workshop is organized by the National Directorate for Benin of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO

The two-day workshop that ends today is part of the process of reviewing the regional financial inclusion strategy in the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA). Through this national workshop, the Central Bank intends to allow stakeholders in the deepening of financial inclusion, to discuss the challenges encountered, guidelines, measures and actions to be implemented to strengthen the level of access and use of financial services by populations and businesses in UEMOA. This high-level meeting of experts will therefore serve as a framework for participants to review the progress made in financial inclusion at the country level, to discuss the challenges encountered in implementing actions in favor of financial inclusion.
