During a conference/debate held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the creation of an agricultural investment bank was at the center of an argument.

Julien Paluku, researcher and minister of foreign trade, who worked on the economic management of the DRC, said that he “calls for the creation of an agricultural investment bank with 700 million dollars from the mining fund for future generations and Congolese stock exchanges to thus support the implementation of the Master Plan of Industrialization of the DRC valued at 58.4 billion US dollars”. The conference held on Saturday was organized by the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management of the University of Kinshasa, under the theme: “Critical analysis of the DRC's Industrialization Master Plan at the conference-debate on the Economic Management of the DRC 64 years after independence: Retrospective and Prospective
