The ^8th edition of the African Anti-Corruption Day, on Thursday 11 July in Lomé, allowed the signing of agreements marking the event.

The objective of the 8th edition of African Anti-Corruption Day to highlight the importance of reporting acts of corruption and the need to protect whistle-blowers. It also aims to take stock of the situation and promote the protection of whistle-blowers of acts of corruption. It is a question of encouraging the population to contribute to the prevention and promotion of the values of honesty. To this end, cooperation protocols between the High Authority for the Prevention and Combating of Corruption and Related Offences (HAPLUCIA) and civil society organizations promoting the fight against corruption have been signed. The agreement will allow these organizations to be more credible and support HAPLUCIA in education and training actions for behavioral change.
