Le Fonds monétaire international ( IMF), of the World Bank and the government of President Patrice Talon have come together to strengthen climate finance mechanisms in Benin. Indeed, today's roundtable brings together development partners, the private sector and civil society to catalyze climate investments. According to Constant Lonkeng Ngouana, head of mission of the IMF in Benin, who spoke at a press briefing on the resilience of the Beninese economy in Cotonou, “climate issues have become essential not only for the economy but also for the existential. We created this new instrument from which Benin has benefited, along with a dozen countries, to incorporate climate action into public policy.”
