On Thursday, February 19, 2026 in Dakar, on the occasion of the 16th ordinary session of its Board of Governors, the African Fund for Guarantee and Economic Cooperation (FAGACE) inaugurated its Regional Representation for West Africa (RRAO).

FAGACE takes a new step forward in its proximity strategy with its Member States and partners. The inauguration took place in the presence of Governors, Administrators, Managing Director of the Fund as well as numerous institutional partners, marking FAGACE's desire to strengthen its support for the private sector at the regional level. Hervé Ndoba, Minister of Finance and Budget of Central African Republic and Chairman of the Board of Governors of FAGACE, a highlighted the strategic scope of this new representation regional, designed as a lever for operational proximity and better legibility of the Fund's actions. He praised the “remarkable” performances of FAGACE, which currently has more than $4.9 billion (approximately 3 000 billion FCFA) in guarantees mobilized, having made it possible to catalyze more of 11.5 billion dollars (nearly 7 000 billion FCFA) investments across the continent.

For the minister Senegalese, the opening of the RRAO in Dakar is a strong signal. It illustrates the trust granted to Senegal and its strategic positioning in the regional financial architecture.
