The African Economic Outlook report provides up-to-date data and analysis on the continent's growth, allowing African decision makers to make informed decisions. Performance and growth prospects vary between the 54 African countries covered by the report. They reflect differences in economic structure, commodity dependence, and policies. The reports make bold recommendations for financing structural transformation at the national level through reforms in the global financial architecture to better meet the growing development financing needs of African countries, exacerbated by recurrent global and domestic shocks, according to Kevin Chika Urama, Chief Economist and Vice President for Economic Governance and Knowledge Management at the Group of African Development Bank
