Le vendredi 2 août dernier, le Président du Burkina Faso, Chef de l' Etat, le Capitaine Ibrahim Trarore a procédé au lancement the activities of the Bank for Treasury Deposits (BDT).

The BDT, headquartered in Koulouba, allows the Public Treasury to optimize the management of public financial resources. Burkina Faso now has a Treasury Deposits Bank whose network is based on that of the Public Treasury, a decentralized structure throughout the country. According to the Minister of Economy and Finance, Aboubakar Nacanabo, this bank is a materialization of the Head of State's commitment to “free our country from retrograde mechanisms and methods that confine us to underdevelopment and financial assistance”.
