Dans le but de soutenir la République Démocratique du Congo (RDC) dans la gestion des risques liés aux climate disasters, the World Bank announced on Monday, September 16, 2024, financial support of 200 million USD.

The funding granted by the World Bank reinforces the Congolese government's efforts to prevent and manage the devastating effects of climate change. This 200 million USD is allocated to the development of a joint development project that aims to repair the damage caused by past disasters, and to prevent future disasters through the establishment of an early warning system. Also, this significant support marks an important step in the DRC's strategy to strengthen its resilience to climate impacts, while protecting its populations and its environment.
