The Cameroon Standards and Quality Agency (ANOR) announced the approval of 113 standards applicable to products from livestock and fish farming. The work was carried out as part of the Livestock and Fish Culture Value Chains Development Project (Pdcvep)

Les normes de l' ANOR du Cameroun cover, according to Chantal Andely, interim director general of Anor, a wide range of activities in the pork, beef and fish sectors, aim to “ improve the competitiveness of Cameroonian products on national and international markets”. The Pdcvep was financed at 55 billion FCFA by the African Development Bank (AfDB) and 10 billion FCFA by the State of Cameroon's own funds. This project aims the competitive and hygienic increase of bovine, pork and fish products, as well as the improvement of the incomes of actors and the creation of new jobs in the three value chains: the beef sector, the pork sector and the fish sector over the next five

years.
