More than 16 billion CFA francs have been invested in the construction of a concrete iron factory in Karma, a rural town located about 40 km from Niamey. This project, launched on October 10, 2024, is supported by the Chinese company HUAHANG METAL GROUP SARLU and aims to produce between 50,000 and 100,000 tons of concrete iron annually

Initiated by the Chinese company “HUAHANG METAL GROUP SARLU”, the factory has an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons, up to 100,000 tons. It is also planned to create 361 permanent jobs, thus offering job opportunities to Nigeriens

It was the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Seydou Asman who launched the work in the presence of the Chinese Ambassador to Niger Mr. Jiang Feng, the governor of the Tillabéri region, the governor of the Tillabéri region, the project promoters as well as the administrative and customary authorities.

The construction of this new factory on the karma plateau is in line with the vision of the National Council for the Safeguarding of the Homeland (CNSP) and the Government to strengthen the economic and social sovereignty of Niger through the development of manufacturing industries. The ceremony is followed by the presentation of a donation of medicines to the CSI of karma to fight malaria
