The leader in Ivorian textiles, Uniwax has published its results for the third quarter of 2024. The numbers confirm a continued downward trend

Uniwax ended its third quarter of 2024 with a turnover of 19.88 billion FCFA (33 million $), down 16.1% compared to the 23.71 billion FCFA earned in the same period in 2023. In the first half of the year, revenues had already fallen by 22.7%, a loss of commercial momentum that the company, which is heavily competing with legal and illegal imports of thrift stores from Europe and Chinese ready-to-wear, which represent around 80% of the overall clothing market in Côte d'Ivoire, is struggling to contain. Operating results recorded an operating loss of 2.11 billion CFA francs for this quarter, further accentuating the losses recorded in the first half of the year.
