Local farmers, officials from the regulatory body Cocobod and buyers have announced that Ghana's cocoa production is expected to rebound in the 2024/25 season, thanks to favourable weather conditions.

In June, Ghana saw its cocoa production fall below 55% of its average seasonal production, marking a low of over two decades. The country now expects production to rise to 650,000 tons for the 2024/25 season, although an official at the International Cocoa Organization said he saw it around 500,000 tons.
